5 Tips What to Wear & Where to Buy Them During Winter
Hey you! if you are like me, a person that can’t stand the cold and probably keep rubbing your hands while you are freezing in the office chairs, well I feel ya! Coming from a tropical country and the only winter season I had experience when I was a kid was probably at Cameron Highlands. I was always afraid to travel to colder climate country especially during winter. The idea of being ‘trapped’ in the cold already bringing chills to my bones even by thinking bout it. I kid you not! But because I have a tendency to fantasise a lot with a curious mind that seems not able to be chased away from my medula oblongata, well the urge of wanting a white Christmas has always been at the back of my head..also in my vision board. So in September 2022, I finally make a point to book a return flight ticket to Germany from Kuala Lumpur from 1 Dec 2022 until 24 Feb 2023. I duno what’s running in my head but at that time, it was appropriate and I want to be part of that Winter Christmas and sabbatical leave that I’ve been longing to have. Fear, Anxiety, Scary, Worry, Anxious, excited and everything in between was part of the package deal. But I told to myself if I don’t do this now, I’ve no idea when else. As i’m writing this now, I’m glad I did and thanks to that special soul I really had the time of my life during that 3 months in Europe.

Latest Update! Dec 2023 :
The holiday season is a magical time of year, filled with festive lights, cozy sweaters, and the joy of spending time with loved ones. However, for some, the desire for a white Christmas can be strong enough to spur spontaneous decisions. That's exactly what happened to me when I found myself booking an impromptu trip to Seoul just 2 weeks before Christmas for year 2023, all in pursuit of that elusive snowy holiday winter experience.
I couldn't shake off the yearning for a white Christmas again. Living in a country where snowfall was a rarity, I decided to take matters into my own hands. A quick search revealed that Seoul, South Korea, was experiencing winter in all its glory, with the promise of snow-covered streets and the enchanting beauty of a snowy landscape. Also that is the most affordable and nearest I could scout for a limited time frame. The flight ticket was a little on the high side but looking back, I’m glad I did it anyway. Although I braced myself through the brutal cold of lowest at -15’C, but it ignite the fire inside of my soul enormously.
So peaceful and I keep myself warm with the yoga pants that I got it from SHOPEE Malaysia and you can get it HERE (only less than RM18 @ Euro 3.6 ladies! I’m wearing size S) or if you happen to be in these countries, eg Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Taiwan, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia & Chile, you may also purchase them easy peasy.
This picture was taken at Nauder Austria ski resort and it was my first time learning how to snowboarding. It was quite scary at first and I kept falling butt first (ouch). But I guessed my persistence paid off when I could finally learn to at least slide for few seconds after 2 hours of learning from my skilful and patient ‘instructor’ haha. I kept laughing when I fall, i’ve no idea why although I was in pain. Perhaps I was also having fun at the same time.
I bought my white BEANIE hat (pictured above) via online from SHOPEE HERE for RM11 @ EURO 2 only. It has double layering inside so it kept my head warm and comfy. I bought the waterproof pants from SHOPEE at this LINK HERE (Size S) and I was a little skeptical at first because it was only less than RM50 @ Euro 10 but I’ve wore them couple of times for snowboarding & hiking during thick snow and I can assure to you now that it is indeed waterproof with fleece thermal to keep you warm. But if you are afraid of the cold, you can wear another legging as pictured on the earlier image of this as the first layer too.
The picture above was taken during winter in one of the golf course that was covered with snow..oh so magical feeling. I’ve just completed my jumprope workout and was walking back home but saw this dead branches almost like chocolate flakes covered with icing sugar. So I took out my tripod and I’m glad I got it captured because while I’m writing this, I could vividly remembered the feeling, the vibe, the energy and the peace of this place. Definitely brings back lot of fond memories. To be honest, as long it is not windy then the weather is quite bearable provided you wear layering.
I bought the White Sporty Top from SHOPEE at this LINK HERE at RM23 @ euro 4.6 .
The comfy thick legging actually comes with wool fleece underneath to keep me warm. I’m wearing grey size S and you can get it from SHOPEE at this LINK HERE while for plus size you may get it from this LINK . The price is really affordable or should I say super cheap! (less than RM17 @ euro 3.4!) and I’m happy with the quality that I bought 2 pairs.
